Dynamics of anthocyanin profiles of the fruits of four blueberry (<i>Vaccinium</i> sp.) cultivars during different growth stages

Blueberries are particularly rich in anthocyanins and favored extensively for their health benefits. In this study, the anthocyanin profiles of fruits four blueberry cultivars (Gardenblue, Legacy, Misty, Brightwell) were investigated. Total content gradually increased all during development, but mature Brightwell Gardenblue had a higher than those Legacy Misty. Thirty-two kinds quantified using UPLC-ESI-MS/MS. Principal component analysis showed that similar to Misty Brightwell, respectively. Levels malvidin 3-O-galactoside, 3-O-glucoside, 3-O-rutinoside, delphinidin 3,5-O-diglucoside(delphin), petunidin 3-O-rutinoside other three cultivars. The 3-O-(6”-O-malonyl)-beta-D-glucoside, 3-O-(6-O-malonyl-beta-D-glucoside), 3-O-arabinoside, 3-O-galactoside was highest 3,5-diglucoside Quantitative real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction ANS, F3ʹ5’H, UFGT preferentially expressed Gardenblue, possibly attributing levels 3-O-glucoside 3,5-O-diglucoside (delphin) cultivar.
